Starting Scenario
You have been selected to lead a high-priority capital project: the installation of a new paint booth at TractorCo's El Segundo facility. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase production capacity.
Your first task is to formally initiate the project by developing a Project Charter that defines the scope, objectives, stakeholders, major risks, and key milestones. This document will be used to formalize official sponsorship from Scott Patton (General Manager) and alignment with Ethan Beets (Plant Manager), who together represent the plant’s leadership team.
Objective
Create a Project Charter that:
- States the project purpose and objectives
- Defines the project team and key stakeholders
- Outlines scope, assumptions, and constraints
- Lists preliminary milestones with target dates
- Identifies initial project risks
